YOSA Summer Symphony Camp
Camp Enrollment is Open for Summer 2025
YOSA Summer Symphony Camp offers young musicians a place to hone their skills, meet new friends, and learn great music! It’s a great way to give YOSA a try before joining, and for returning musicians, a fun way to try new sessions in between seasons.
YOSA is celebrating 39 years of camp in 2025, and this year, YOSA will offer ten camp sessions for musicians from ages 8-18 over three weeks. From San Antonio Philharmonic musicians to local orchestra directors, our camp faculty is comprised of the best musicians and instructors. Financial aid is available for all YOSA Summer Symphony Camps.

Middle School String Orchestra Camp, Week One
Middle school string players will have a great time as they advance their skills with a fun week of orchestra rehearsals, sectional coaching, and other musical activities.

Orchestra X Camp
Explore string music from beyond the classical repertoire, incorporating rock, pop, Broadway, and Latin grooves, plus the chance to jam with a powerful rhythm section of guitar and drums.

Mariachi Camp
Mariachi players are invited to spend a fun week learning new songs and polishing their skills.

Compose your own music, learn how to use notation software, and hear what you write played by professional performers.

Middle School String Orchestra Camp, Week Two
Middle school string players will have a great time as they advance their skills with a fun week of orchestra rehearsals, sectional coaching, and other musical activities.

Elementary String Camp
A fun chance for younger string players to make music with their peers, playing together in small and large groups and exploring other musical activities.

Cello Intensive
A focused week for teen cellists to advance their instrumental skills and make music together, led by San Antonio Philharmonic Principal Cellist Kenneth Freudigman.

High School String Orchestra Camp
Join us for the most musically advanced high school string orchestra summer experience in South Texas, culminating in a fun concert conducted by YOSA faculty conductors.

Exploring Music for Elementary Students
Elementary school students will have fun listening to and making music, as they use their voices and explore a variety of musical instruments. Campers do not need any previous experience.
Camp Tuition and FAQs

YOSA Summer Symphony Camp 2025 tuition is $448 for all one-week sessions. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per camper is due at the time of enrollment. All tuition is due June 2, 2025.

Yes. Musicians will need to provide their own sack lunch for every day of camp. There will not be access to microwaves or other heating elements.

YOSA will offer extended drop off hours from 8:00am to 9:00am and extended pick up hours from 3:00pm to 4:00pm for an additional $50. Extended care will be available every day except Friday afternoon.

There will be three weeks of Summer Symphony Camp:
Week One: June 16-20, 2025
Week Two: June 23-27, 2025
Week Three: July 7-11, 2025
All camps will begin at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm.
Summer Symphony Camp will take place at Trinity Baptist Church (316 Mulberry Ave, 78212).

YOSA is committed to making our activities accessible for families, regardless of financial constraints. Financial aid is offered as part of camp registration and is based on a family’s income, household size, and other family or financial circumstances. Families can expect strict confidentiality regarding their assistance application and results.
Every effort will be made to meet the needs of young musicians and their families.

Campers may miss no more than one full day of camp. If a camper misses more than a day, they will not be able to participate in the remainder of the session.
