2025/26 Season Auditions are Open!

Auditions for YOSA’s 2025/26 Season and YOSA Summer Symphony Camp are now open and will take place:

May 31-June 3, 2025

at San Pedro Presbyterian Church

All YOSA auditions are free, and musicians require an audition to join YOSA for the 2025/26 season. If you cannot attend in person May 31-June 3, 2025, we will make alternative arrangements on a case by case basis. Please email registration@yosa.org for more information. YOSA Summer Symphony Camp

This year, YOSA will offer 10 Camp sessions over three weeks. Some Camp sessions require an audition.

Week 1: June 16-20, 2025

Week 2: June 23-27, 2025

Week 3: July 7-11, 2025

A Season of Fun!

Highlights of the 2024/25 Season for all YOSA Musicians Include:

  • Performing at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts for YOSApalooza

  • Learning from some of the best conductors in the industry

  • The opportunity to play in a Spurs halftime show

  • Performing in three major concerts throughout the year: City Series or Zachry Series

  • Musician workshops and masterclasses

  • Season Kick-off events in August

  • Giving back to the community on a service day

  • End of year YOSA Cookout celebration

Who is Eligible?

  • All string players ages 8-20 with at least one year of experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass.

  • Flute players ages 8-20 with at least one year of experience.

  • All other woodwind, brass, percussion, and harp players ages 13-20 with at least two years of experience.

  • Participation in your school music program is mandatory.

  • Home-schooled students are welcome.

Financial Aid

YOSA is committed to making our activities accessible for families, regardless of financial constraints. There is no fee to audition for YOSA Orchestras. Financial aid is offered at the beginning of each season based on a family’s income, household size, and other family or financial circumstances. Families can expect strict confidentiality regarding their assistance application and results. Every effort will be made to meet the needs of young musicians and their families.

Priority consideration will be given to those who apply by Friday, May 24, 2025. Applications submitted after May 25, 2024, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
