YOSA Invitational 2024
The 2024 YOSA Invitational gives San Antonio school bands and orchestras the chance to perform in the Tobin Center for Performing Arts’ renowned H-E-B Performance Hall, San Antonio’s premier concert venue, free of charge.
Each school will receive professional recordings and photos of their performance.

2024 YOSA Germany Tour
In June 2024, YOSA will embark on a tour to Germany, performing concerts in Berlin, Leipzig, and Darmstadt. YOSA musicians will have the chance to perform in and visit cities where composers like Bach, Mendelssohn, and Schumann lived and worked. This will be a remarkable educational and cultural experience for eligible YOSA musicians.

YOSA Summer Symphony Camp - Week 1 - will have YOSA Band Camp, YOSA High School String Orchestra Camp, YOSA Elementary String Camp, and YOSA Exploring Music for Elementary Students.

Rising Star Fellows Spring Showcase
The Rising Star Fellows Spring Showcase Recital is at 3pm at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 315 E. Pecan St., 78205.
The recital should last an hour and will be followed by a reception.

King William Concerts in the Park
The King William Association’s Cultural Arts Committee presents Youth Orchestras of San Antonio (YOSA) as they perform a Concert in the Park on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Opportunity Home’s Beautify San Antonio Park, 801 S Main Ave.
The concert is FREE and open to the public of all ages.

Hansel and Gretel
Hansel and Gretel will bring together all five Tobin Residents for the first time. YOSA, Classical Music Institute, Ballet San Antonio, the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio with Opera San Antonio as producer of the 1893 opera.

YOSA Mariachi Auditions
This fall, we are excited to introduce YOSA Mariachi, led by renowned mariachi musician and educator Miguel Guzmán. YOSA Mariachi will provide a unique opportunity for the finest young mariachi musicians in San Antonio to learn and perform together with peers from all over the region.
YOSA Performance at Tobin Center Open House
YOSA musicians will perform a sneak peak of Music from the Movies at Tobin’s Open House at 4:15p.m. This is a FREE event, and there will be no ticket fees on any YOSA concert purchases.

The YOSA Philharmonic’s season finale explores stirring music of resolute defiance, from Rossini’s celebration of a Swiss folk hero resisting Austrian rule to Sibelius evoking the Finnish struggle against Russian occupation and American composer Kenji Bunch celebrating indefatigable teens overcoming the challenges of a global pandemic. Dynamic electric violinist Tracy Silverman presents Puerto Rican composer Roberto Sierra’s concerto based on short stories by legendary Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges.
Rick Cavender Glow of Christmas Cheer Album Release Party
Rick will be playing all 11 songs from his new Christmas album “Glow of Christmas Cheer” plus will be weaving in some songs from his current album “Road Warrior” and a couple of cool standards. Proceeds from this show will benefit the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio
YOSA Performance at the H-E-B Tree Lighting
The 38th Annual H-E-B Tree Lighting Celebration will take place from 3pm – 9pm on Friday, Nov. 25 at Travis Park. YOSA will perform at 4:20 p.m. and the Tree lighting will take place at 6:20 p.m.
Be sure to stick around after the lighting for a free “The Polar Express” screening at 7:00 pm!
The free community celebration is open to the public and will feature activities such as holiday crafts, free giveaways, letters to Santa, and live musical entertainment as well as a special visit from Santa.
